I can relate to this. It's one thing for me to be away, but I hate it when hubby is.

As for the teenagers alone bit, I had to smile. Ours are 15 and 13. We 'risked' leaving the 15 year old son alone for 3 nights after his confirmation in June. He managed to do one set of laundry, and apart from staying up too late on the computer (bad role models here I think) he did pretty well. But he is only 15 :)
